Advanced Driving Day – Style of Instruction
Chris has a very relaxed, understanding and friendly style of instruction devoid of any sarcasm, his manner and delivery will help to create the best relaxed and calm teaching environment so that effective learning takes place. Chris likes to create a ‘mobile classroom’ and have short stops, invite questions and give feedback and encouragement. He has vast experience as an advanced driver trainer and advanced driving examiner allowing him to quickly assess and recognise your strengths and the areas which may require some development.
“In 2010 I was involved in a car accident in which my car was a write off and I received serious injuries. I have since suffered a loss of confidence and many anxious moments when I’m driving. After speaking with Chris on the phone I decided to book a day with him and my husband came too for moral support. I needn’t have worried because Chris was a charming, kind, understanding gentleman and a superb instructor, who guided me through my problems. His explanations were clear and easy to understand and I learnt so much more about driving. My confidence has returned and I am no longer anxious behind the wheel. Thanks Chris,
I recommend you highly”. Glenda Brown – Lincolnshire
“I recently attended another advanced training day with Chris. The fact that I travel from Dublin, will tell you how much I rate the experience. My most recent training was nothing short of outstanding. I had a long list of goals and questions for Chris and incredibly, all of these, along with new ones on the day, were met with ease due to his personable manner, depth and understanding of driving techniques and the ability to impart the right information at exactly the right time. He follows up his balanced feedback with ‘talk-through’ that is simply second to none – and as an Advanced Trainer myself, I have experienced many ‘talk throughs’ over the years. Once again, I came away from the experience bursting with enthusiasm and my new knowledge of how to improve my driving. I would highly recommend Chris irrespective of your own perceived standard of expertise. Chris is a gentleman and a consummate professional and he hasn’t seen the back of me yet!” Colm Branigan, Dublin, Ireland. 2019
What is an ‘Advanced Driving Day’?
It is half a day (5 hours) that will be tailored to suit your individual requirements and needs, be it back to basics or very top end advanced driving. The very best people to provide this service are police class 1 drivers with operational experience who have also been a Police Advanced Driving Instructor with years of experience at a Police Driving School. The objective is to improve your driving skills, knowledge of driving and have answered all the questions you have ever thought of. An ‘Advanced Driving Day’ is aimed at any driver with a full driving licence seeking to improve their driving skills. Chris welcomes nervous drivers and those who have lost confidence in driving for whatever reason.
Chris generally uses the roads he used for 22 years teaching police officers advanced driving skills, so the roads are both enjoyable and challenging to drive. There are some excellent, instructional value driving roads in nearby Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.
If you would like to join your husband, wife, son, daughter, partner or friend in the car as an observer, you are welcome to do so at no extra charge
